At the start of The Arkells’ concert at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa the band laid down the law. Rule number one: You have to dance. Rule number two: You have to sing. Rule number three: you have to be good to each other. The audience stayed true to the rules and it made for a high octane and memorable concert experience for everyone in attendance.

The night started with opener COIN. COIN is an American pop/rock band that was formed in Nashville Tennessee in 2012. The four-piece band was eager to hop on stage and deliver a high energy performance. Their on-stage chemistry as a band was undeniable and they keep the crowd engaged and lively for their entire set. Those new to COIN were thoroughly impressed, leaving with intentions to delve deep into their catalog.

When the Arkells came out the audience erupted. For the entire show, The Arkells interacted with the audience masterfully and keep the energy fun and uplifting. They did audience call-ups and even had a conga line through the audience lead by lead singer Max Kerman.

They were rock and roll yet still very down to earth and different from every other band. The way they could connect to every person in the audience was magical. This feeling of connection never faded, and it truly left a lasting impression.

The Arkells are a band in which fifty years from now people are going to look back on and wish they were able to witness them live.
