Lainey Wilson made her Canadian debut as she brought her Bell Bottom Country tour to History in Toronto on April 20 with special guest Jade Eagleson.

Jade Eagleson kicked off the night opening up for Lainey Wilson he only had a short set of about 8 songs but brought the energy and got the crowd warmed up starting off with “Shakin In Them Boots” he also played “Got Your Name On It” and one of my personal favorites “She Don’t Know” which James Barker wrote and let his friend Jade use. Eagleson closed out the set with “Lucky” and left the crowd not wanting him to leave the stage.

Tou could tell by the smile on her face from start to finish Lainey Wilson really appreciated the Canadian crowd. At one point in the show she forgot her lyrics and said she looked down at the crowd and saw some girls singing along to every word and it helped her remember the rest of the words to finish the song. It was a very high energy show from the very beginning about 4 songs in when most artists always do a little bit of talking to the crowd Lainey was setting up her next by saying are there any Yellowstone fans out there in the crowd and she went on to tell about how the producer came to her and created the character for her “Abby” in season 5 and how she got to play this next song on a flatbed she started into “Watermelon Moonshine” and drew a big roar from the soldout crowd. She followed that with “Hold My Halo” and “Attagirl.” Later she played a short minute or so of her #1 hit with Hardy “Wait in the Truck” but no Hardy didn’t make a surprise visit BUT we did get a special guest later in the night.

The band blended and switched into “Heart Like A Truck” with another big scream from the crowd, she closed her set with “Things A Man Oughta Know” which turned Wilson into a star back in 2020 and was her debut single and also got Lainey her first #1 on the Country Airplay Chart. She finished the song and left the stage and when she returned to the stage she introduced that she had a little surprise for the Toronto crowd she brought out one of her best friends Meghan Patrick for the encore and the crowd damn near blew the roof off of the place. I already can’t wait for the next time Lainey Wilson comes back to Canada because I know where I’ll be, Front row!!
