Big Wreck are coming to Ottawa, and if you’ve ever witnessed the Canadian rock veterans live, you already know this isn’t one to sleep on.

The band will take over Hard Rock Live Ottawa on Friday, October 30, 2026, bringing Ian Thornley and company back to the stage for a night of towering guitars, huge vocals and the kind of musicianship that has made Big Wreck one of the most respected names in Canadian rock.

For more than three decades, Big Wreck have carved out a sound that is unmistakably their own. Crushing hard-rock riffs collide with blues, progressive rock and moments of psychedelia, all anchored by Thornley’s extraordinary guitar work and instantly recognizable voice.

And then there are the songs.

Tracks like “The Oaf (My Luck Is Wasted),” “That Song,” “Blown Wide Open,” “Albatross” and “Ghosts” have helped build a catalogue that stretches across generations of Canadian rock fans. Onstage, those songs tend to become something even bigger, with the band known for stretching out musically and reminding audiences that very little about a Big Wreck performance is paint-by-numbers.

The October stop also puts the band inside Hard Rock Live Ottawa, giving fans a chance to catch Big Wreck in a venue built for exactly this kind of loud, guitar-driven night.
