Periphery is supporting their 8th studio album A Pale White Dot (released May 15, 2026) and its singles—such as “Mr. God,” “Everyone Dies Alone,” and “Heaven on High”—with a fall North American headlining tour.
The stop at Roseland Theater in Portland, OR on 11.5.26 featured support from Ne Obliviscaris, Greyhaven and Ando San.
Periphery is an American progressive metal band that was formed in Washington, D.C., in 2005. The band consists of vocalist Spencer Sotelo, guitarists Misha Mansoor, Mark Holcomb, Jake Bowen, and drummer Matt Halpern. Their musical style has been described as progressive metalcore and djent. They are actually one of the first bands in the djent movement within progressive metal.
The Roseland was packed for this show and filled up quickly so as not to miss the openers. They were worth arriving early for and the audience was very vocal in their appreciation for the support bands especially Ando San. Usually, there’s a modest applause for the first act of a four band roster, but the crowd was really into them!
When Periphery finally hit the stage, the crowd was ready to rage. The headbangers on the rail gave the barricade a workout! They opened with the banger “Scarlet” from the 2012 album Periphery II: This Time It’s Personal (Check out the wild video for this song HERE) and gave their fans a live taste of some newer tracks such as “Heaven On High”, “Unlocking”,”Mr God”, “Subhuman” and “Everyone Dies Alone.”
Periphery closed the night with the epic masterpiece “Reptile,” leaving it all on the stage – the fans loved every minute of it!
