If you’re looking for something to do with your Valentine the day after the day of Love, you should take your date down to your local record store together to give the Tedeschi Trucks newest album ‘Signs’ a listen.

The Grammy award winning 12 piece band led by the husband and wife duo, guitarist Derek Trucks and blues vocalist/guitarist Susan Tedeschi’s fourth studio album is a follow up to their 2015 album ‘Let Me Get By’, which debuted at number 15 on the Billboard Top 200 album sales chart. Just like its predecessor, ‘Signs’ is being released by Fantasy Records and was recorded at the Tedeschi and Trucks’ home studio in Jacksonville, Florida.

From start to finish there’s not one track on this album that would make you lose interest. Tracks such as ‘Shame’ , which is soulful and soothing and breaks into a heavy Deep Purplish jam, ‘Signs of High Times’, which grooves with a 70’s funk feel to it, ‘All the World’ will make you want to grab your date and slow dance the night away, and ‘Hard Case’ which is brilliantly upbeat with a powerful chorus.

Throughout the album, Trucks’ guitar playing is phenomenal, and his slide work, which is something you would expect to hear from the Allman Brothers alumni member, is amazing and his solos are top notch. Tedeschi’s soulful voice ranks her up with some of the best vocalists the business has ever heard.

Together with the rest of the band, Tedeschi and Trucks have truly written a masterpiece of extraordinary music, which a fan of any genre can enjoy.

At this time according to their tour schedule there are no Canadian dates but many are booked in the United States. If you’re a fan of the band, I’m sure a road trip to see them live would be well worth it.

Signs is available for pre-order now and will be officially released on Friday February 15, you can purchase or pre-order it here on iTunes!
