If you’ve ever seen David Lee Roth, Marilyn Manson or Rob Zombie, chances are you’ve seen John 5. Born John Lowery, and nicknamed by Manson, he is still currently a member of Zombie’s ensemble.

There was a Finnish invasion at the Bronson Centre last Friday as Children of Bodom and the band’s ‘Hexed’-tour came to town along with fellow countrymen Swallow the Sun and Wolfheart.
The decibels were through the roof at Olympia Theater for Inflames and Within Temptation on a snowy Tuesday night in Montreal.

Winter travel is hard.
Winter can be cold, cumbersome, and complicated. March is an ugly month for distance travelling to concerts. So when a reviewer signs up to cover an event, the hope is that the experience will be well worth the effort.
There is no better way to describe Mumford and Sons’ recent performance in Ottawa at the Canadian Tire Centre than as just that…an experience that was well worth the effort!
Fun fact: According to The Canadian Encyclopedia, we here in The Great White North have about 1000 organized zoos housing an estimated one billion wild animals. Well, the Canuck Capital is about to get a whole lot wilder as, from the subways of New York, return the boisterous buskers Too Many Zooz!

Whoever says the metal scene is dead, has no idea what they are talking about. The proof was in the pudding on Friday night in Ottawa when August Burns Red brought in their “Dangerous” tour to the jam packed Bronson Centre.
