I was headed home from work, travelling along the Queensway in Ottawa on what seemed like a normal Friday, except for the fact that cooler morning temperatures had given way to sweltering hot humid temperatures and a threat of severe thunderstorms came along with the temperature change. Mumford & Sons will embark on an extensive 60-date worldwide arena tour this fall featuring a groundbreaking new in-the-round stage design. Kicking off November 16 in Dublin, the tour will span throughout next spring and includes fall North American stops at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, Boston’s TD Garden, New York’s Madison Square Garden, DC’s Capital One Arena, Montreal’s Bell Centre and Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena. Special guest Maggie Rogers will join as support.

Day 4 finally came, but it was different. I awoke Sunday morning and looked out the window…..rain. It had rained during the night but it was still coming down then. The schedule for Sunday was earlier than the other days so they could wrap up at 5 or 5:30. I packed up my belongings and got ready for the day, not knowing what to expect. I got to the site early, sound checks were just finishing up it was still coming down quite hard. I went onto the stage, the front and the back of the stage floor was wet. All that was dry was an area in the center of the floor. I didn’t know what or if I would be shooting.
