T.I. Blew the roof off Liquor Store
Don’t know if I have ever felt so much high energy in one place before. It was small, and overcrowded, and T.I. wasn’t the only thing getting me hot and steamy.
The Liquor Store had a sold out crowd on their hands, so much so that T.I. could not even come out and make his way to the stage safely.
Madchild Makes The Bourbon Room Bounce with Joseph Rose, C-Note, Cruz, Project Mantra and more
This past Thursday night, the Diamond Mine Agency packed the Bourbon Room on Dalhousie Street in downtown Ottawa for a hip-hop show with more flare than the “Nature Boy”, and our very own Leigh Bursey and Dave Di Ubaldo were there to catch all of the action. Being that Project Mantra opened up the show, Leigh asked for Dave’s help in delivering the review to bring some balance to the coverage.

It was a night of retro at TD Place in Ottawa on Thursday night, both in music and in fashion. It was a night where generation gaps would be erased and people of all walks of life would descend on Landsdowne Park for one of the biggest 90s dance parties Ottawa has ever seen, headlined by 90s superstars Vanilla Ice and Salt N Pepa.

HOT Mid Summer Festival Recap…
So it has been a red hot summer thus far in terms of Festivals we have covered since June 1st. Not just hot shows but the weather has been smokin’ for most of them. I though I might take a shot at a mid summer festival recap and just do a quick review on where we have been so far in this jam filled summer of 2016.
City and Colour closes out record breaking 2016 RBC Bluesfest
After 8 amazing days of music, Sunday was the grand finale of one of the biggest years for RBC Bluesfest in its 22 year history.
Rock the Park, The Rest of the Story…
After two epic nights of country, Rock the Park shifted gears in Downtown London’s Harris Park. New for 2016 was Virgin Fest 2016, sponsored by 97.5 Virgin Radio, in London. Now, I need to be honest here and say this night’s line up was not one I was really keen on. The line up included local performer, Ria Mae, Canadian rapper Classified, Nelly, and Flo Rida. As a guy who listens to mainly country music and some rock thrown in there, this was bound to be an interesting night.
