En ce deuxième jour du Festival Country Lotbinière, la scène Kia a accueilli beaucoup plus de spectateurs, ce qui a évidemment ravi les artistes en prestation.

Comme l’année dernière, le Festival Country Lotbinière a érigé une scène pour mettre en valeur des artistes locaux durant l’après-midi. Comme l’année dernière aussi, les gens étaient au rendez-vous pour applaudir et encourager ces artistes.
Francis Degrandpré au Corona : mission accomplie!
Jeudi soir, le Corona était Country, et pas à peu près. Andie Therio en première partie de Francis Degrandpré et ses invités Laurence St-Martin, Vince Lemire, Veronique Labbe et Matt Lang ont comblé la foule qui s’était assemblée pour les entendre. Francis présentait sa rentrée montréalaise et lançait sa tournée devant une salle comble.

Jeudi dernier, Matt Lang s’amenait au Théâtre Corona avec Brittany Kennel en première partie. Après un été des plus réussis, ayant foulé les scènes de LASSO et de Saint-Tite (entre autres), il a fait le pari de remplir le Théâtre Corona. Il peut dire « Mission accomplie ».

Three years ago, almost at the same dates, we re supposed to see Brad Paisley and Luke Bryan, plus many others. On August 13, 2022, Luke Bryan finally came to Montreal, but he brought Dierks Bentley with him.

Cette année, le Festival Country de Lotbinière a eu l’excellente idée d’offrir des spectacles gratuits en après-midi, mettant en vedette des artistes du Québec. La programmation a donc pratiquement doublé; les spectateurs étaient ravis de l’ajout et les artistes ont été enchantés de l’accueil qu’ils ont reçu. Même la pluie s’est faite clémente pendant ces spectacles.

Tuesday night, Laval hosted what was dubbed the Metal Tour of the Year. This headbanging machine included Sweden’s In Flames, and US’s Trivium, Lamb of God and Megadeth. If you felt a shiver just now, you are not alone. These are all mighty big names in their own right; assembled, they are an unstoppable force.
Léa Jarry is Rising Fast on the Quebec Country Scene
Léa Jarry launched her first EP in 2019. In the 3 years that follow, she was nominated at ADISQ and at the GAMIQ, two major musical events in the province, got 3 nominations at GalaCountry 2020 and launched her first album. Need we remind you that this was during a pandemic? So when she announced a show in Montreal, we had to be there.
