The National Arts Centre theatre is a really intimate place to see a concert. Smaller then the standard auditorium, there isn’t a bad seat in the entire house.

So what better place to enjoy an eclectic musical experience like A Tribe Called Red?!

Now, I admit a bias. This was actually my third time seeing them, so I came into this exciting spectacle of trance, hip hop, live vocals, violin, keys, drum pads, hoops and indigenous dance numbers with high hopes to begin with.

And they delivered on every one of them!

Featuring acclaimed aboriginal singer/songwriter Jeremy Dutcher, as well as Creeasian, and respectfulchild on electric violin, this unbelievable mix of talent, sounds, familiar background images of stereotyped fictional native characters, and overall body-moving vibes makes A Tribe Called Red a new experience every time.

The ongoing “Halluci-Nation” live show and tour is well worth the price of admission…every single time!
