If there was any doubt that bbno$ was one of the most anticipated acts of this year’s KDays, it disappeared within moments of him taking the stage. The Vancouver rapper transformed the festival grounds into a giant celebration Thursday night, delivering a high-energy performance that kept the audience engaged from beginning to end.
Opening with “bag TF up,” bbno$ wasted little time getting the crowd moving before rolling through favourites like “come to brazil,” “it boy,” “gigolo,” and “i see london i see france.” From the opening song, fans were fully invested, creating one of the loudest and most energetic crowds of the festival so far.
That atmosphere became the defining story of the night.
Rather than simply performing, bbno$ constantly connected with the audience, encouraging singalongs and feeding off the energy coming back from the crowd. The interaction never felt forced, and his ability to engage thousands of people made the large festival setting feel remarkably connected.
Vocally, the performance remained strong throughout the set. Despite the demanding pace and constant movement around the stage, bbno$ delivered confidently while the live instrumentation and production added depth to songs that many fans first discovered online.
The setlist balanced fan favourites with a handful of well-chosen covers. Performances of “C’est La Vie,” “Bad Boy,” and “bussin!” were warmly received, while a cover of Nickelback’s “Rockstar” generated one of the night’s biggest reactions. The familiar anthem had the Edmonton crowd singing along from start to finish and fit seamlessly into the show’s energetic pace.
The momentum never faded. Songs including “edamame,” “1-800,” “bing bong,” “pump it,” “boom,” “ADD,” and the viral hit “lalala” produced some of the loudest singalongs of the evening. Thousands of fans rapped every lyric while the energy on stage and in the crowd continued to build. Closing with “burger” and “why am i like this,” bbno$ ensured the performance finished on the same high note on which it began.
The production complemented the music well, with vibrant lighting and dynamic visuals adding to the atmosphere without distracting from the performance itself. Everything worked together to keep the focus on the songs and the audience’s enthusiasm.
Perhaps the most memorable aspect of the evening was the crowd atmosphere. Every chorus echoed across the grounds, hands stayed in the air throughout much of the performance, and the audience never stopped moving. It was a reminder of how powerful a festival crowd can be when both the performer and fans feed off one another’s energy.
bbno$ delivered exactly the kind of performance KDays audiences were hoping for. Strong live vocals, exceptional crowd engagement, and an energetic setlist combined to create an unforgettable night. Four days into the festival, this stands as the definitive highlight of KDays so far, setting a new benchmark for every act that follows. If the remaining concerts hope to top Thursday night’s atmosphere, they’ll have a very high bar to clear.
