As has become the tradition over the last few years Bluesfest TAG, a youth organization with a passion for music and social media collaborating with the Ottawa Bluesfest to bring unique acts to the festival, has begun announcing the lineup the night before the official launch.

The party started this afternoon at 5:30 with Bluesfest TAG announcing country superstar Sam Hunt as the first official act of the 2016 Ottawa Bluesfest lineup. Things kept rolling fast and furious with The Decemberists, Future, Brandi Carlisle and french producer Madeon rounding out the top 5.

The final 5 are made up of ScHoolboyQ, Australia’s Indie Rockers Paper Kites, Earl Sweatshirt and Half Moon Run with Canadian electronic duo Zed’s Dead rounding out the top 10.  Follow the Bluesfest TAG Twitter feed for live details as they are announced:


Also announced this evening was the coveted Youth Pass, limited quantities go on sale this Thursday morning at 10am for $99 at www.ottawabluesfest.ca, but you won’t want to take your time as they will sell out quickly.
