Danish rock band Volbeat roared into the Cascades Amphitheater in Ridgefield, Washington USA and delivered a total assault of the senses on the large crowd of diehard fans.

Founded in Copenhagen in 2001, Volbeat’s current line-up consists of vocalist and rhythm Guitarist Michael Poulson, drummer Jon Larsen and bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen who stopped in Ridgefield, WA USA on their “Greatest of All Tours Worldwide” Tuesday night.

As fans streamed into the venue, the usual revelry that preceeds a rock show was a bit subdued as word of Ozzy Ozbourne’s passing earlier that day had been announced. Many fans paid tribute The Prince of Darkness by wearing Ozzy or Black Sabbath t-shirts at the show as they quietly made their way into the amphitheater. The mood, however, was about to change as the crowd began to get worked up in anticipation for a night of loud live metal and rock!

When it was Volbeat’s turn to hit the stage, after openers The Ghost Inside and Halestorm aggressively rocked the venue, a part of “Children of The Grave” by Black Sabbath was played and dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne.  Then they launched into their fiery set, showcasing a number of tracks from their recently released ninth studio album God Of Angels Trust, including “A Monster’s Hand”, “Demonic Depression”, “Time Will Heal” and “In the Barn of the Goat Giving Birth to Satan’s Spawn in a Dying World of Doom.” (Yes, for real!)

This new album is the latest offering after their highly successful album Servant of the Mind from 2021 which featured ”Temple Of Ekur” “Shotgun Blues” and were well received by the fans who roared their approval with all horns up! Other standouts included opener “A Warrior’s Call”, “Lola Montez”, “For Evigt” and “Black Rose.” It was a show that lifted everyone’s spirits when it was needed the most and Volbeat, Halestorm and The Ghost Inside did not disappoint.

There are plenty of dates left on this Tour to catch a show, check the poster below. Highly recommended!
