Three Days Grace Alienation Tour 2026 at UBS Arena in Belmont Park New York on March 12, 2026 with special guest ‘I Prevail’ and performances of ‘Sleep Theory’ and ‘The Funeral Portrait.’
The Funeral Portrait lit up the stage for us, an American rock band based in Atlanta, Georgia. They formed in 2014 and currently include Lee Jennings (vocals), Cody Weissinger (lead guitar), Gareth Calk (rhythm guitar/auxiliary), Robert Weston (bass), and Homer Umbanhower (drums).

Their music combines elements of emotional hardcore, punk rock, and musical theater. Frontman Lee Jennings has likened their sound on social media to a mix of bands like My Chemical Romance, Ghost, and Motionless In White. The Funeral Portrait exceeded all my expectations as the opening act! I had already enjoyed their music on Octane, but they truly delivered last Thursday night. They were fantastic, and I can’t wait to catch them live again. They’re one of the most incredible chill bands I’ve come across, and I genuinely love their sound. Watching them perform together on stage is a treat; it’s clear they pour their hearts into every show. I appreciate their genuine and friendly vibe with the audience. It’s refreshing to experience such authenticity in a band, which makes their performances even more enjoyable.

Next up was Sleep Theory, an American rock band from Memphis, Tennessee. Established in 2019, the group features vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist and unclean vocalist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt. The band originated as a solo endeavor by Moore, a U.S. Army veteran, before Vergara joined him. Sleep Theory uniquely combines elements of heavy metal and R&B. In 2023, they launched their debut EP, *Paper Hearts*, which included the singles “Another Way” and “Numb.” The EP quickly amassed over 33 million streams in just a few months after the released.

With a modern rock sound and influences from genres like post-hardcore, pop, and metalcore, Sleep Theory has emerged as one of the fastest-rising heavy acts in the USA since their debut single in 2023. I discovered them on YouTube back in 2023 and had the chance to see them live; the show was incredible. They are definitely a band that deserves more attention. I hate to sound conspiratorial, but the purity of their sound makes it feel like they might be an industry plant—yet their music is genuinely great. If you haven’t heard them before (which is understandable, as they’re still relatively new), I strongly recommend the track “Fallout.” It instantly reminded me of Linkin Park while simultaneously showcasing their unique sound, thanks to their amazing vocalist. They’re truly a fantastic band.

I Prevail is up to fire us up for Three Days Grace, a rock band from Southfield, Michigan, formed in 2013. They released their first EP, *Heart vs. Mind*, in 2014 and became well-known for their metal cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space,” which went platinum in the U.S. Since then, they’ve put out four studio albums: *Lifelines* (2016), *Trauma* (2019), *True Power* (2022), and *Violent Nature* (2025). They’ve also had hits with original songs like “Breaking Down” and “Hurricane.” Their song “Bow Down” was nominated for a Grammy in 2019, and *Trauma* was also nominated for Best Rock Album that year.

The band has had some lineup changes over the years, but lead vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe and lead guitarist Steve Menoian have always stayed. I saw I Prevail for the first time after being a fan for nearly ten years. I missed their previous show with their original vocalist, Brian Burkheiser, but their performance opening for Three Days Grace was amazing. I was initially disappointed that I saw them after the split, but they really impressed me and got me excited for their new album. I Prevail is now the third band I’ve seen that lost a vocalist before I could see them. Overall, the concert was fantastic!

Three Days Grace blew up my mind for the second time and rocked UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York, on Thursday. Singer Adam Gontier, who came back to the band in 2024 after an 11-year break, expressed his love for New York. His return is a big part of why the band is gaining popularity again. Their new singles, “Mayday” and “Apologies,” both hit #1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

Adam and Matt Walst led the show, singing every song with energy that made me wish they’d re-record their older albums. Barry Stock impressed with classic guitar solos, while Brad Walst (Matt’s older brother) on bass and Neil Sanderson on drums kept the crowd moving. Everyone sounded great.

However, I was really disappointed because we only got to see three songs from the pit for each band. Due to arena rules, photographers were drunk at past shows, and I missed out on the full experience, including their acoustic set and two-hour show. I wanted to share how their music has impacted my life, but I don’t have much to say about my concert experience.
