The Static Shift rocks the Grey Cup Festival in Style

Calgary native The Static Shift played to a crowd of fans, young and old, as part of the outdoor concerts the day before the big game that featured their Stampeders going against Ottawa for the Grey Cup.

These guys came prepared for the Alberta winter weather and rocked it with a fashion statement most others just wouldn’t be able to pull off the way The Static Shift does.  They easily had the biggest age range of fans in the crows of all the performers to that point.  It helps having been able to make a name for yourself on CTV’s The Launch I’m sure but they’ve been popping up everywhere lately performing shows with a wide variety of artists.

Watching them after the show at the merchandise table with fans, sometimes I couldn’t tell if it was the kids that were the fans or the parents just using their children as an excuse for the autographs and photos!

 

While Saturday may have been warmer than Friday, I was still surprised to see Isaiah take his coat off and someone not have his limbs lock up from the cold!
