The Hu is a Mongolian folk rock/metal band formed in 2016 who call their style of music “hunnu rock” which features throat singing and traditional Mongolian instrumentation. They are currently on their Black Thunder Tour in the US and tickets are selling fast.

The show in Columbus, Ohio at The Newport Music Hall last night was sold out and probably could have been upgraded to Kemba Live! if it wasn’t for another rock show scheduled there.

The HU perform at The Newport Music Hall In Columbus, Ohio 5.8.22

The show was heavy and hard with frontman Galbadrakh “Gala” Tsendbaatar engaging with the crowd often. The venue was packed up into the balcony with a long line at the merch tables. Looking around the venue, plenty of fans appeared to have bought shirts and immediately put them on!

The show featured Hu favorites “Wolf Totem”, “Yuve Yuve Yu” “Shoog, Shoog”, “The Great Chinggis Khan” and more, ending with the popular cover of Metallica’s “Sad But True.”

Plenty of dates left on the this Tour. Highly recommended!!
