The highly anticipated 2018 Osheaga Line up has officially been released with headliners including Travis Scott, Arctic Monkeys and Florences + The Machine! 100,000+ people will flood the city of Montreal in early August for the festival which has a reputation for pulling some of the biggest names in music to the stages. Other names included in this years festival are; Tyler, the Creator, Anderson .Paak, Blondie, Rezz, Alan Rayman, Franz Ferdinand, Amy Shark, The Beaches and more!

I’ll be completely honest that most years when our friends at Ottawa Dragon Boat announce their headliners, or their opening acts for that matter, I have little to no idea who they are. Aside from a few acts carried over from last summer’s RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest (Mother Mother, The Beaches and Alvvays) the same stood true this year.

It’s that time of year again, some of Ottawa’s biggest summer events are announcing their 2016 lineups. First out of the gate is the 23rd Annual Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival who, this morning, announced their incredible lineup of entertainment on the Hillside Amphitheatre stage.

After an incredible start to this year’s Ottawa Bluesfest the second week was the week that had more of the music I was interested loaded so it was no doubt one I would be looking forward to covering. Initial plans were that I would be finished my shifts with the Green Team by this point as well but health issues in the first week forced me to pick up some shifts in the second week.
