The wildly popular Blue Jay Sessions that originated as an experiment at Calgary’s Oak Tree Tavern during the 2019 Stampede, later resurfaced during CCMA week dur to popular demand. It now seems to have become an event staple in Calgary given there’s another upcoming Valentine’s Day weekend session.  For the first time, the Sessions will be held in a new city and province …This March they’re making their way East, into Saskatchewan for a special JUNO edition … and they’re not just supplying amazing artists, they’re going to have specially branded BlueJay Sessions beer thanks to Russell Brewing!

The organizers have put together an amazing line up of both Saskatchewan and Alberta favorites, including a few from BC.  We have the full line up listed below.  In the spirit of the sessions, you shouldn’t be surprised if some more nationally and internationally recognized artists just happen to pop in unannounced … like Paul Brandt has done in Calgary.  The only way to find out who shows up during the JUNOs week is to get your tickets (www.thebluejaysessions.com) … or keep an eye out on here and the social platforms for some coverage after the fact … but seriously, these sessions are fun and engaging for both the audience and the singers … make sure to experience them live and in person.

Before we jump to who’s performing when … if for some reason you can’t make it out to a session to test out the beer (draft OR can), don’t worry … it can be purchased at Saskatchewan liquor stores.  If you don’t live in SK, well then, have someone bring you some back! Right … on with the lineup!

From Thursday through Sunday, the Somewhere Else Pub in Saskatoon is going to be transformed into a cozy venue with center stage going to all the artists at once.  They’ll all get to share the stories behind their songs, sing, and just hang out like the infamous jam sessions held in Nashville.
