Sing Out for CHEO! featuring River Town Saints and more

We are thrilled to present Sing Out for CHEO!, a one night only fundraising event for the CHEO Foundation, featuring performances by Danny Sylvester, Sandi Skye, John Allaire and headliners River Town Saints.

The Sing Out for CHEO! event will raise money for the CHEO Foundation for family-centered children patient care facilities situated in Ottawa. Over the past 40 years, CHEO has established itself as a world-class centre providing leading-edge treatment care for children and youth.

The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) is one of the outstanding family-centered children patient care facilities situated in Ottawa. Over the past 40 years, CHEO has established itself as a world-class centre providing leading-edge treatment care for children and youth.

Danny Sylvester, the CHEO Ambassador for this event, had his life dramatically altered when his daughter was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy by the doctors at CHEO. Until that point in her life, he had been told that she was “slow to physically develop” and that “she would learn like other children”.

Knowing something is wrong with your child is heartbreaking, especially when you can’t find someone to listen.

Without the care and support provided by CHEO to both his daughter, and to himself as a young parent, both of their lives could have been negatively affected. Through the surgeries, the therapies and the countless late night visits, the specialists at CHEO patiently carried them through every kind of healing process.This is a story echoed by every parent that has ever had to spend time within CHEO’s walls with their child.

Ongoing research at CHEO will someday provide tomorrow’s families with even greater results, together we can help!

On October 21, 2017 Danny, in partnership with Tim Tierney, Ottawa Councillor, and with help of a fantastic team of devoted volunteers and local sponsors, will join John Allaire, Sandi Skye and The River Town Saints for one night at TD Place, in Ottawa, to raise money for the CHEO Foundation. On top of the world-class performances by 4 incredibly talented local artists there will be a silent auction featuring donated items from area businesses including Beau’s, Les Suites Hotel, Escape Manor, Little Rays Reptile Zoo and many more.
