On Saturday, November 25, 2023, Silverstein graced the stage at Club Soda for their highly anticipated “10 Years of This is How the Wind Shifts” tour. The venue was packed with enthusiastic fans, and the energy in the room was off the charts.

Frontman Benny Scholl kicked off the show by crowd surfing during the first song, “Whatever,” immediately setting the tone for an exhilarating evening.

The band’s infectious energy and their ability to engage the audience left a lasting impression. A solid 30 set, that left the audience wanting more.

Next up was Stray from the Path, whose lead singer Drew Dijorio commanded the stage with an incredible force. Their ability to pace a set list to keep the audience engaged throughout the performance is evident.

Drummer Craig “Cowboy Crag” Reynolds delivered a thunderous performance that had the crowd in awe. The band’s mix of metal, punk and rapcore created an uplifting and contagious atmosphere that resonated with the audience. It’s clear that the band has what it takes to headline.

Finally, it was time for the main act, Silverstein, to take the stage. Celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their album “This is How the Wind Shifts,” the band kicked off their set with “Bad Habits” and “Smile In Your Sleep,” instantly captivating the crowd.

With every new song, the audience’s enthusiasm grew, resulting in a constant stream of crowd surfers that kept security on their toes. At one point, I was jammed up against the fence, body parts flying everywhere.

On a platform, Silverstein had a ‘’Youppi’’ plush mascot on stage. The band’s lead guitarist, Paul Marc Rousseau, was visibly irritated when a Toronto Maple Leafs cap was thrown onto the stage, but the incident added an unexpected twist to the show. Shawn Told, lead singer, joked about the fact that there were only Leafs fans in the band, and obviously it wasn’t Paul, leading the crowd to chant in homage to the beloved Montreal sports teams

Midway through the set, Silverstein engaged the audience by allowing fans to select two songs online, to be performed live, adding an interactive element that heightened the concert experience. The band concluded the night with a powerful rendition of “Stand Amid The Road” and “A Place Of Solace,” leaving the crowd in awe.

Silverstein’s performance was nothing short of extraordinary, as they not only played the entirety of “This is How the Wind Shifts,” but also included many fan favorites, resulting in a lengthy and unforgettable set. The band’s dedication to delivering a memorable experience was evident, providing the audience with more than their money’s worth.

Overall, this concert was an intense and exhilarating experience. The crowd’s tireless energy and the electrifying atmosphere created by Silverstein made it one of the most memorable shows of the year. The pits were a perfect mix of terrifying and delightful, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to be in attendance.
