The 4th annual Sing Out for CHEO event will take place this February at the Lone Star Loft in Ottawa and today it was announced that Ottawa based speaker, musician, comedian and children’s entertainer Rory Gardiner will join Danny Sylvestre in the lineup for 2020.

Not just another “lecture”. Be engaged by a professional entertainer, who has been captivating audiences of all sizes, in multiple countries, on multiple platforms for over 15 years.

You’ve heard his music on Television starring actors like Kevin Nealon, or pro athletes like Chris Bosh and Arnold Palmer. His original tunes have been recorded by other artists, or used for podcasts, mobile apps, and commercials airing daily throughout North America.

2018 CCMA nominated artist Rory Gardiner has appeared on multiple CMT nationally broadcast reality shows, and shared the stage with a number of great country acts, like Keith Urban.

As a stand up comedian, he has shared the stage with fellow Canadians Tom Green and Jeremy Hotz. His comedy has been featured on Funny or Die, Americas Funniest Videos, and Sirius XM. He has acted in commercials for brands like Under Armour, or TV shows like “The Handmaid’s Tale” on Hulu.

When Rory speaks at conferences, colleges, and corporate retreats, he not only brings his message, but brings a lifetime career of entertainment value. Engaging your team using music and comedy that will not only leave the audience entertained, but also more connected, giving them an “experience”, rather than “just another keynote”.

Last fall when tornadoes devastated several Ottawa neighbourhoods, including Rory’s, he used his ability to make people laugh to document his own journey with a hilarious video that almost makes you forget that he and his family nearly lost their home in a blink of an eye. Rory’s latest release is a children’s album called When I Grow Up. The album was released earlier this week and can be found wherever you get your music, click here to listen on Apple Music.

For the second year in a row, Sing Out for CHEO is giving three (3) artists the opportunity to perform at this great event and to raise money for the CHEO Foundation family-centered children patient care facilities situated in Ottawa.

Last year, Sing Out for CHEO’s artist competition was open to the Ottawa region only. Since then, there were so many requests from the Outaouais Valley from bands and individuals wanting to participate. For the 2020 Sing Out for CHEO Artist Competition, the committee has decided to open the competition to both the Ottawa region and la vallée de l’Outaouais.

Submissions for the competition are now open; visit: https://singoutforcheo.ca/performance-opportunity-for-artist-band/ for details on how to qualify!

Sing Out for CHEO takes plan on February 22, 2020 at the Lone Star Loft in Ottawa starting at 7pm.
