With a terrific summer of music and festivals delivering great times these past few weeks, the inaugural MUSIC MASH FESTIVAL in beautiful community of Westlock, AB promises to put a big exclamation mark on the events calendar for the summer of 2022.

The fuse for MUSIC MASH FESTIVAL 2022 will be lit on Friday September 2 and three days of great music and all the trimmings will make Westlock a destination spot for music fans on Labour Day weekend. The event will be held at the Westlock AG Society Fair Grounds.
Westlock is a wonderful community just north of Edmonton that has championed numerous charitable causes over the past few years. This event will not only deliver the perfect mix of tunes to fans of all kinds of popular music, but MUSIC MASH FESTIVAL 2022 will be supporting a number of charitable organizations through ticket sales of this event.
“We’ve been planning charity events in this community for a few years and for organizations like the Stollery Hospital. We’ll also be raising funds in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, Soul Sisters Memorial Foundation and Bullying Enns,” says Dennis Ryan, who, along with Kim Landry, are organizing MUSIC MASH 2022.
“We’re just under the wire in getting this festival off the ground but I believe we have an incredible music line-up and something for everyone,” adds Ryan who was drawn to the Westlock community a few years ago, he now resides there.
Friday September 2 will feature a bluesy, rockin’ line-up featuring powerhouse vocalist Samantha King, the twin guitar attack of GuitarFace featuring Jim Guiboche and Gord Matthews and popular homegrown blues-rockers The Colin McDonald Band.
Saturday September 3 sees MUSIC MASH 2022 turn to pop-rock territory with a four group line-up, led by the explosive Rubix Cubed and the Calgary based roots rock crew Steve McQueen. Rounding out the bill will be The Ramifications and the aptly named Powerhouse.
Sunday September 4 MUSIC MASH will be a day of country music that cuts across all styles and eras of country sounds as the acclaimed Johnny Cash Experience, and the traditional country duo Flat Broke will share the stage with two exceptional female country acts, Dirt Road Angels and Nice Horse who have won 8 Alberta Country Music Awards.
“We’re also very fortunate that so many businesses and individuals are supporting this event,” says Ryan, once again pointing out how this community stands together.
“Raptor Fence, Brown’s Chrysler, Westlock Inn and Conference, County Towing, Highway 9 Group, Pricelock, Reality, CSCS Systems, Westlock Pet Supplies, Wolfgang’s Bike Shop, Lennon Barlow Keyes, Boston Pizza, and Dark Sky Distillery are some of the businesses that are helping making MUSIC MASH 2022 happen. Kim Landry was instrumental with the idea of a music festival and in bringing in these sponsors to the festival.”
Ticket packages include a VIP section that is going to have a little bit of elegance including private bathrooms and seating, plus private catering.
The festival grounds can also accommodate 40 RV’s and there are numerous campgrounds in the vicinity. Ticket packages, from single day that start at $65 through to the full weekend VIP package.
