On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, Théâtre Beanfield was crowded with incredible guitar work and amazing performances by Nita Strauss and Mammoth WVH.

Nita Strauss kicked off the show with a bang, starting with the powerful drum blast beat of “Summer Storm.” The stage was illuminated with hues of purple and orange, creating a captivating atmosphere. Nita engaged the crowd with her energetic presence, asking if they were ready for some heavy stuff, and the enthusiastic response was immediate.

The bassist, Christopher Dean, brought an unparalleled energy to the stage during the performance of “Mariana Trench” from their debut record, “Controlled Chaos.” The drummer, Josh Villalta, showcased his technical prowess during a solo on “The Quest,” leaving the audience in awe.

Nita’s set was a solid 40 minutes of uninterrupted music. Kasey Karlsen, the singer of Deadlands, joined Nita on stage for a few songs, including “Through the Noise,” “Dead Inside,” and “Victorious.” The chants of the audience during “Victorious” were particularly energetic. Nita’s performance was flawless from start to finish, solidifying her status as a true legend. The addition of Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy for the final song, “The Wolf You Feed,” was a perfect ending to an incredible set.

Mammoth WVH took the stage at 9:10 PM and immediately made their presence known. Starting with the song “Right,” the crowd showered them with love and good vibes. The room was filled with excitement and anticipation.

“Miles Above Me” started with the fans clapping so hard that the floor was shaking. It was evident that Mammoth WVH had a strong and dedicated following. Wolfgang’s flawless vocal performance, despite fighting a cold, showcased his talent and passion.

The stripped-down acoustic performance of “Distance” by Wolfgang was a standout moment. With just one man on stage, he managed to transport the audience to a place of tranquility, evoking the feeling of sitting by a campfire or relaxing on the beach.

The melodic backing vocals of, rhytm guitarist, Jon Jourdan on “Waiting” were angelic and beautiful, adding an extra layer of depth to the performance. The band members, including bass player Ronnie Ficarro, guitarist Frank Sidoris and drummer Garrett Whitlock exuded coolness and rockstar vibes throughout the set.

Wolfgang engaged with the audience between songs, displaying humor and genuine care for the crowd. His laser-like vocal performance, combined with the highly concentrated band, created an electrifying atmosphere. Mammoth WVH truly owned the stage, delivering pure rock energy at its finest.

After a solid 1 hour and 30 minutes set, the band members gathered at the front of the stage for a brief bow, expressing their gratitude to the audience for their support.

Overall, the concert was a night to remember. Both Nita Strauss and Mammoth WVH delivered stellar performances, showcasing their talents and leaving the audience wanting more. It was a night filled with heavy, incredible guitar work, and solid performances by all the musicians involved.
