On March 11/18

Judas and the Lion Going to Mars tour chose the Corona Theatre in Montreal as the launch site for their tour start.

But before this highly anticipated Judas and the Lion hit the stage the crowd was fueled by the electro-folk duo from Boston Massachusetts the Tall Heights. This duo mesmerized the audience with their beautiful soft melody that can only been done with a cello and guitar. Their harmonies were perfectly in sync to perfection.

As if this wasn’t an amazing start to the show Colony House ignited the stage with their alternative rock sound. This Nashville Tennessee band took us on a journey back in time with sounds reminiscing of the Ramones. This band had the crowd energized and ready for lift off to Mars with Judah and the Lions.

As the crowd waits in anticipation, the lights are low and the count down begins – 3,2,1 lift off, Judas and the Lion launches themselves onto the stage and the crowd roars with excitement. This once Christian group with their evolved sound of hip hop, techno, folk and rock and impressive light show not only entertained the crowd but they interacted with them.

Nothing gets a crowd more pumped than being part of a Judah and the Lions show. At one point they broke the crowd into groups and have them sing looking to see which side was louder and thus the winner.

To make it even more interactive the group joined the crowd off stage for an acoustic, intimate performance, definitely a crowd pleaser. The evening did not slow down. The group continued to keep the show lively and full of energy.

They had the two opening bands take the stage to perform with them. Colony House performed a fun version of Mr. Brightside by the Killers. Judah and the Lion who’s original songs with different genre’s definitely is full of surprises. Every song is unique and can be appreciated by a wide age group. You just don’t know what you will hear next. This show was something out of this world or should we say out to Mars.
