Josh Kerr has been creating magic behind the Nashville scenes for many years now. From writing, producing and contributing musically on tracks of some of your favourite songs. Such as Kelsea Ballerini’s hit songs “Dibs” and “Love me Like You Mean It”. Kerr has also showed his producer chops on Danielle Bradbery’s sophomore album. He is no secret to the locals and those enriched in the Nashville scene as he has also raked in nominations for his work as well. This includes his work in co-producing Keith Urban’s album Graffiti U. From the looks of it too, he is just beginning his musical takeover.

Now, after a few years of experience behind the scenes Josh Kerr is ready to tell his story. On Friday November 8th he released his debut album. How Do You Remember Me incorporates 11 tracks of heartbreak, growing up, falling in love and knowing when you need to let go.

The album opens up with the title track and takes you on his journey. Prior to the release fans had been treated to hearing “Still Our Town”, Oklahoma as well as the title track. Kerr also has fellow Nashville hitmakers featured on the record, with Amy Wadge on “How Do You Know”, and Heather Morgan being featured on “Oklahoma”.

Kerr had previously opened up about track ‘Oklahoma’ as he initially was wanting to write a song for his fiance Taylor Dye (Tae of Maddie and Tae) and it had turned into a track of heartbreak. Where the girl doesn’t leave you for another person, but for where she knows is home.

The album is entirely raw, vulnerable, emotionally honest and simply beautiful. Each track has something that every listener would be able to relate too. Which really proves that Kerrs writing skills are ones that don’t come around that often.

We look forward to seeing all the success that Kerr will continue to have.
