3 years after winning Brockville Ribfest Idol, IssaBel releases “Scream Out”
one of her most requested live songs comes to life in this epic studio production…
At, just, 19 years old IssaBel has already become known for crafting songs with thoughtful lyrics based on her own personal experiences as well as experiences typically felt by youth. After winning the inaugural Brockville Ribfest Idol in August of 2022 IssaBel wasted no time become a household name in Eastern Ontario and has since performed hundreds of shows including numerous showcases in Toronto, Ottawa and beyond.
“Scream Out” has been one of IssaBel’s most requested songs at her shows so IssaBel is excited to finally bring this song to life in studio with the help of, Brockville based, producer Nate Hardy.
“In high school, I had an emotional experience in grade 12 gym class where I was picked last for a dodge ball game. I felt isolated and alone because no one really knew me or tried to. The feeling of being outcasted gave me determination to give it my all. It caught everyone by surprise that I actually ended up being the last one standing! It felt amazing!
I often notice that many people seem to wear a mask and act like everyone else and jump to judgement when others are not like them. That is not who I am.
I believe everyone has something special to share, but sometimes it gets hidden. We just need to break free and scream out for ourselves to be heard!
After school was over, it took me 20 mins to write this song. That’s how passionate I was about how I felt.
My song “Scream Out” is about not being heard, finding the strength to put yourself out there and by passing all the haters and judgement.”

IssaBel has partnered with the South Grenville Food Bank and asks that guests bring a food, or monetary, donation in lieu of cover as her way of giving back to the community that has always supported her.
