November 15th 2022 at History in Toronto was the night that Nickelback rose from hibernation since 2019! And boy was Toronto ready for them! Bringing all the hits and a few new ones too like “San Quentin”, “Those Days”, “High Time” and of course “Burn It To The Ground”, “How You Remind Me”, “Someday”, “Rockstar”, “Photograph” and loads of others. The Canadian boys from Hanna Alberta, who formed in 1995 showed everyone in the house how to get their faces rocked off! Yes they still have it.

The night was to kick off their new album “Get Rollin”, funny in a sense as it was to get them rollin’ into 2023 where a tour may be coming after learning that they will be headlining Canada’s largest country music festival Boots and Hearts in 2023! The tone for the night was in your face, and everyone loved it. There’s nothing like a power chord beating through your chest on a Tuesday night!

It just so happened to be frontman Chad Kroeger’s birthday so a few celebratory toasts were in order from the crowd. Chad even brought a gentleman on stage to do some live karaoke and sing one of their biggest hits “Rockstar”. A moment I’m sure he will never forget! Lead guitarist Ryan Peake made a claim during the show that History was louder than a stadium roar…. Toronto’s ground was definitely rumbling!

Nickelback hasn’t led on much about the future of 2023 other than that we know that they’re headlining Boots and Hearts, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a taste of what’s to come in the near future! Keep up with Sound Check Entertainment as we will give in real time updates as they are released! A must see band, Nickelback!
