Canadian indie-pop trio, Hey Ocean! is reviving their acclaimed benefit concert, #SingItFwd as part of this years JUNO AWARDS week. They will be performing alongside an incredible line up organized by the band that will include celebrated Canadian talent such as Polaris Music Prize Shortlist (2017) nominee and nominated for Adult Alternative Album of the Year, Leif Vollebekk and multi-Juno nominee, Mother Mother.

The #SingItFwd line-up currently includes: Mother MotherSaid The WhaleHey Ocean!, Leif VollebekkDawn Pemberton, and Khari McClelland.

More artists will be announced next week. The event is presented by, MRG Concerts, The Peak 102.7, and the Junos Host Committee. The concert will be held at the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver on Wednesday March 21. Tickets are on sale now (click here to purchase).

This will be Hey Ocean!’s 7th benefit concert organized for #SingItFwd an initiative which they founded. Between 2011 and 2016 the annual event sold out the historic theatre 6 times by bringing together 35+ of Vancouver and Canada’s most acclaimed musicians alongside the kids of SJMA raising awareness and more than $200,000 for the non-profit music school (started 10 years ago by DTES resident and mother, Kathy Walker).

Hey Ocean!’s new album, The Hurt of Happiness will be released on April 6, 2018. It is their first album together since 2012’s IS and since their 2013 JUNO Award nomination for “Breakthrough Group of The Year.”  Four new songs, “Amsterdam,” “Can’t Let Go,” “The Hurt of Happiness,” and “Sleepwalker” are available now (click here to purchase on iTunes).
