“I think this album still has the sound people expect from us, balanced with more experimentation,” notes drummer/multi-instrumentalist Dylan Phillips.  “We’ve been diving deep into some styles that we haven’t necessarily explored before. Things get a little heavier, a little harder.”

AllMusicpraised the album’s “more cosmopolitan approach,” while Mojo acknowledged that “the scenery is damned fine.” Lead single “Turn Your Love” became the band’s first Top Ten hit at Canadian Alt-Rock Radio, made the Alist at BBC Radio 1, and was #1 at Triple-J in Australia. Half Moon Run earned a 2016 Juno Award nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year. Their 2012 (remastered in 2013) debut Dark Eyesis Platinum in Canada, Sun Leads Me On has sold Gold and each album has earned international accolades and global critical praise for the band.

Half Moon Run demonstrated why they have a reputation for technical prowess…Just as impressive is how effortless they make it look and how unpretentious they appear, as though they’re really just earnestly exploring sounds in all their possible configurations…They played groovy, heartland rock songs complete with guitar solos; alt-country numbers that featured slide guitars; atmospheric, slow spacey songs; noisy kraut songs and some wavy psych stuff.” – Exclaim, 2019

Later this month Half Moon Run will take fellow Canadians Tim Baker to open all of the US headline shows and Leif Vollebekk to open over the European/UK dates. Some shows have already. SOLD OUT. The full listing of the just announced World Tour dates are also included below along with support acts of Taylor Janzen and Shey Baba.
