Dallas Alexander opened Thursday’s show at the Ale House. With a Canadian-Métis upbringing and former JTF2 Canadian Military service, Dallas brings his unique experiences into his music. The obvious love for what they do was evident from the minute Dallas and his band stepped on stage, and had new fans saying – if you aren’t already following Dallas Alexander you need to!

Alberta’s own Gord Bamford stopped by Kingston on Thursday night on his Canadian Dirt Tour. This 26 time Canadian Music Award Winner and Juno nominee put on an engaging show at the Ale House, with the crowd raising their glasses to favourites such as “Breakfast Beer” and “Dive Bar.” Mid-show, Gord called up Ontario’s Danielle Bourjeaurd who wowed the audience with a powerhouse set.

Fans couldn’t get enough (some were there for their 5th show!) and called Gord and his band back on stage for an encore, which he kicked off with a tribute to Kingston’s Tragically Hip. After an energetic cover of “New Orleans is Sinking” the entire bar danced and sang along to a stream of old favourites. It was clear that crowd and performers alike were having a great time!

The tour makes it’s way to Eastern Canada next week with shows in PEI, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick before slowly making it’s way back to Western Canada after a couple more shows in Ontario in November. For a full list of tour dates visit Canadian Dirt Tour
