Saint-Agapit, January 31st, 2023 – Festival Country Lotbinière (FCL) unveils its complete lineup for 2023 and you better be prepared for a festive weekend to remember! The summer event, which will run its 8th edition from June 15 to June 17, brings together, year after year, the best of Quebec, Canadian and even American country artists at the heart of Saint-Agapit. At the forefront of the popular new country wave in Quebec since its beginnings, FCL is proud to again welcome artists who will be on their first visit in the province, as well as Canadian artists who have fallen in love with it. For the first time this year, the festival will be held from Thursday to Saturday and a shuttle service will be offered to Lévis and Lotbinière residents in order to facilitate access to the event site while setting up a first milestone of the festival’s sustainable development policy.

‘’We are thrilled to announce the festival’s 8th lineup which brings the best of Quebec, Canada and US artists together!  Again this year, you can expect different genres of country music including folk-country, country-rock, bro-country, pop-country as well as Francophone artists. It is really important for us to promote the whole spectrum and offer diversity to our festival goers. » – Guillaume Laflamme, co-founder of the festival

THE HEADLINERS

Jameson Rodgers

Jameson Rodgers made his name on the road. The hard-touring upstart has spent nearly a decade honing his rowdy live show, whether he’s headlining his own electric sets or opening for the likes of Luke Combs, Florida Georgia Line, Darius Rucker, Sam Hunt, Luke Bryan and many more. A MusicRow Discovery Artist of the Year winner and iHeartRadio Music Awards nominee, Rodgers immortalized his live show on his latest project Live from Oxford, MS, recorded at a sold-out show at The Oxford Theatre. Featuring early career standouts like “Midnight Daydream” plus his back-to-back, Platinum-certified No. 1 hits “Some Girls” and follow-up smash “Cold Beer Calling My Name,” (originally featuring label mate Combs), the collection captures the raucous atmosphere that has become Rodgers’ calling card. Named to breakthrough artist programs including CMA KixStart and Opry NextStage, Rodgers released his debut album Bet You’re From A Small Town in 2021, and recently offered his first taste of new music with the reflective “Things That Matter.” Also an in-demand songwriter, the country traditionalist has co-penned multi-Platinum hits for Florida Georgia Line (Top 10 single “Talk You Out of It”) and Chris Lane (No. 1 smash “I Don’t Know About You”), plus deep cuts for Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, and more.

Russell Dickerson

A Tennessee native from a musical family, there’s no question that Russell Dickerson has made a name for himself in recent years. After graduating from college, Dickerson felt called to take his music on the road, cutting his teeth while playing shows across the US, frequently for small audiences and an even smaller paycheck. That same drive has made Dickerson the first artist to release four consecutive career-starting singles that reached No. One on the Billboard Country Airplay chart since Luke Combs. He also joins Combs as the second solo artist and fourth act overall to have four or more singles reach No. One on the Country Airplay chart since its inception decades ago. Those back to back chart-topping singles include “Yours” (3X Platinum), “Blue Tacoma” (2X Platinum), “Every Little Thing” (Platinum), “Love You Like I Used To” (Platinum) and most recently Dickerson’s current single “She Likes It” ft. Jake Scott has already been certified Gold with 170 millions streams to date. This Fall, he will embark on a sold-out tour in the UK and headline a tour throughout the US starting in November.

Dallas Smith

A multiple JUNO and CCMA Award winning entertainer, and 2022 CMA Award nominee Dallas Smith is one of the most celebrated artists in Canadian country music. Amassing 18 Canadian Gold-certified singles, four Canadian Gold-certified albums, and seven Canadian Platinum-certified singles along with more than 500 MILLION collective streams to date and 2 MILLION global album equivalents. Smith is also the first and only Canadian country artist in the Nielsen BDS era to have TWELVE #1 singles, including four consecutive chart-toppers from the same album. Adding to the list of accolades, Smith is the sole Canadian country artist in the Nielsen BDS and Mediabase era to earn TWELVE #1 songs in history and have 23 consecutive singles peak in the Top 10 of the country airplay chart. Smith is the three-time CCMA Award winner for Entertainer of the Year (2019/2020/2021), and in September (2022) added two CCMA Awards for Male Artist of the Year (his fourth win in this category), along with his first-ever Fans’ Choice award to his expansive list of accolades. In 2021, Smith launched the Lifted Dallas Smith Charitable Foundation – a non-profit organization committed to ensuring that mental health services are accessible to anyone and everyone in need.  Earlier this year, Smith embarked on the national headlining Some Things Never Change Tour and in September received his very first CMA Award nomination for the Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award – continuing to set the bar high for Country music in all that he does.

«It is such an accomplishment for us to bring American artists like Russell Dickerson, Jameson Rodgers and Travis Denning together for our festival. Since 2015, we have worked hard to bring credibility to the Quebec country music market for Canadian and international promoters and their artists. We’ve been at the frontline of this new country wave and couldn’t be more proud of the mark we are making in the business. Sharing our passion with thousands of festival-goers year after year is what makes us happy! – » – Guillaume Laflamme, co-founder of the festival

«In my name as well as on behalf of the Municipal Council, it is my pleasure to welcome and actively collaborate with the 8th edition of the Festival Country Lotbinière in our city. I encourage the entire population to enjoy this major event in Saint-Agapit. » – Yves Gingras, Mayor of Saint Agapit
