The Festival, which was to take place from June 19 to 21, 2020 in the small and captivating municipality of Saint-Agapit, near Quebec City, has been postponed to June 18 to June 20, 2021 due to restrictions caused by COVID-19.

The safety of our volunteers, employees, festival-goers and artists is paramount to us. It is very important to follow the measures put in place by the government to control the spread of the virus. Matt Lang, a Quebec star in the firmament of the country
Opening night headliner Matt Lang is one of Canada’s most promising new country artists. In 2019, he was the first Quebecer to win the famous SiriusXM Top of the Country competition with the piece Better When I Drink. And since then, his rise has been meteoric: recording an album in Nashville and shows across the country!

“In 2018, it had ignited the Festival crowd by opening for the show by Brett Kissel. Two years later, it’s up to him to be the headliner! We are very proud to have participated in his rise on the Canadian country music scene, and Matt fully deserves the success he is enjoying right now. He’s a tough guy, like us, and it’s like we’re having a reunion with a good friend on June 19! “Enthuses Guillaume Laflamme, co-founder of the Lotbinière Country Festival.

High Valley, the new country duo of the moment in Canada!
The career of High Valley has recently moved into high gear: after the popular success of their first album Dear Life in 2016, which earned the duo their first top 10 on country radio, the group obtained two consecutive Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM Awards) in the category of new duo or vocal group of the year. High Valley soon began to travel the world, sometimes as a guest of artists like Old Dominion, sometimes as a headliner.

“We have wanted to have the Canadian duo made up of the Rempel brothers for several years. With several sold out tours in Canada, the United States and Europe, High Valley is in high demand everywhere. We are excited to welcome them on June 20. Each year, our festival-goers asked to be able to see them at the festival. It’s mission accomplished for us! Added Guillaume Laflamme.

Granger Smith, take 2!
The Festival is very pleased with the return of Granger Smith with Earl Dibbles Jr., at the end of the PNS-TECH stage. Recall that Granger Smith had to cancel his performance at Saint-Agapit last year due to the tragic death of his son. It will be the artist’s first show in Quebec, making him the first American international star to perform at the Festival! A recognized songwriter across the United States and Australia, Granger Smith has close to 1 billion online views and over 7 million social media subscribers.

“For an artist close to his fans like Granger Smith, it could not have happened otherwise: he had to take up the missed appointment,” said Guillaume Laflamme.

A contest to propel artists from here
Once again this year, the indoor stage of the Lotbinière Country Festival offers free shows, mainly oriented towards emerging Quebec artists. “We are proud of the next generation in Quebec, and it is very important for us to actively participate in its success by offering it the opportunity to perform in front of our festival-goers, who are fans of country music. It is for this reason that we are launching this year the next generation competition, which will give artists at the very beginning of their careers a chance to play in a professional environment, “explains Sébastien Lemay, co-founder of the event. Those interested will be able to register starting in March 2020, and the winners will be announced at the end of May at a 5 @ 7. Watch the Facebook page or the Festival website for details. “And who knows, maybe we’ll help other Matt Langs to emerge!” “Ends Sébastien Lemay.
