Saint-Agapit, February 28th, 2024 – Festival Country Lotbinière set the table in a big way last fall by announcing the first three names of its 2024 lineup with American stars Riley GreenLee Brice and Warren Zeiders! August is set to be even brighter with the addition of international rising stars such as Kameron Marlowe, Nate Smith, Meghan Patrick, Ella Langley and more! The pioneering event of new country in Quebec has been breaking barriers since its beginnings and proves it once again with the unveiling of the complete poster for its 9th edition which is full of internationally renowned talents, while showcasing emerging Quebec artists.

INTERNATIONAL STARS
Discovered in 2018 on The Voice in the United States and quickly adopted by the country community with his singles Giving You Up, Girl On Fire and Tennessee Don’t Mind, Kameron Marlowe will bring his music from the southern United States to warm up the first day of the festival as a headliner. Known for its style of contemporary country music and its catchy melodies, we bet many festival-goers will be singing Marlowe’s lyrics loudly!

Another great catch for the festival this year is Nate Smith, who will be bringing a breath of fresh air with his unique blend of rustic soul and rock n’ roll swagger! In 2018, Smith headed to Nashville where he quickly distinguished himself thanks to his impressive tenor voice. His hit Whiskey On You was certified Platinum and his latest track World On Fire has been and still is at the top of American and Canadian radio charts since January 2024. Catch him on Saturday August 24 as he warms up the stage for Riley Green who will close the 9th edition of the festival!

Canadian talents will also be in the spotlight, notably with the presence of the dazzling Meghan Patrick. Twice crowned Female Artist of the Year at the CCMA Awards and recipient of 18 CMA Ontario Awards, she has captured the hearts of music lovers since the release of her debut album Grace & Grit in 2016. With songs like She’s No Good For Me and Red Roses & Red Flags, the artist embodies a boundless sincerity in her work that resonates strongly with audiences.

The talented Ella Langley, behind the hits If You Have To, Damn You and Country Boy’s Dream, is definitely a rising star in country music not to be missed! Another Canadian female artist will grace the big stage, Noeline Hofmann, who recently went viral on social media after her song Purple Gas was shared by Zach Bryan. She will open for Warren Zeiders as well as Lee Brice on Friday August 23. Finally, emerging artist and former professional hockey player Mark Ledlin will present his first EP this summer to heat up the big stage of the festival!

SHOWCASING LOCAL TALENTS

Offering performances by renowned artists from across Canada and the United States has been one of the great assets of FCL since its beginnings, but encouraging and making a place for the local scene is just as important. The free FCL stage is intended to be an exceptional showcase for emerging talents in Quebec country music in order to promote the diversity of the local music scene and the blossoming of promising careers.

This year, festival-goers will have the chance to discover new talents such as Jessie Mathieu Champagne, Gabriel Forest, Erika Rollin and Lys Gossel. The free FCL stage will also feature the dynamic David Pineau and his festive songs, the fiery Karo Laurendeau who brings together different generations of country music fans, and the pioneer of Quebec urban country Vince Lemire. We will also welcome Guillaume Lafond, revelation of the 2021 edition of the TV show Star Académie who stands out for his authentic country as well as the Merle Marlow Band (whose singer is part of the 2024 edition of the TV show La Voix) who will entertain with its blend of 90’s country, contemporary new country and classic rock.
« This is the biggest lineup of the FCL so far. It’s been a lot of work and investment to put this together! The artists of the 9th edition need no introduction: recurring performances in stadiums of 60,000 people, billions of streams, countless top 10 radio singles alongside artists like Wallen, Combs and more. Adding rising emerging artists, there is something for everyone! Few people know, but the FCL is a non-profit organization created by young country fans from the Lotbinière region. 10 years later, those same founders are still here promoting country music in Quebec and Canada by operating the largest independent country music festival in Quebec… It’s a colossal job and an achievement in itself! We always said that we were festival-goers who created a festival for festival-goers. This makes a difference in the product we offer. It is a source of pride to be able to present a festival of national scope which such a great impact on our region. »  – Guillaume Laflamme, cofondateur du Festival Country Lotbinière
