Evanescence Shines at Cascades Amphitheater

American rock band Evanescence stormed the stage at Cascades Amphitheatre in Ridgefield, Washington on 7.22.26 with a sky full of lightning during an amazing performance that thrilled the full house of fans in attendance.

With absolutely no rain in the forecast on a 80 degree day, The Nova Twins hit the ground running and brought more heat to the venue with lots of talent, confidence and attitude. Then, during Spiritbox‘s set, the skies opened up, first with hail and then rain. Attendees were not fazed however as they wrung out soaked blankets while dancing and laughing, saying that it added to the concert experience. When lightning arced across the dark sky during Evanescence it made it all the more magical.

The audience was a sea of cell phones recording the show with many Attendees in the covered portion of the Amphitheater unaware that the lawn area was being inundated with hail/rain.

Evanescence is on tour promoting their sixth studio LP Sanctuary released in June of this year. And while the crowd reacted enthusiastically to all the songs during the set, when “Bring Me To Life” started playing, all hell broke loose from the crowd as they jumped to their feet and sang along to this 2003 fan favorite.

The top-notch and award-worthy lighting and production on this tour was designed by @sickdesignbro, @cmc_live and @joshlights with front woman Amy Lee managing the creative direction. The atmospheric and otherworldly effects are tightly synchronized with the music accompanied by a continuous stream of SFX and saturated graphics in the background. There was plenty of pyro and confetti but also moody solo spotlights especially when Amy was playing the piano.
