CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI – The Cavendish Beach Music Festival presented by Bell is thrilled to announce chart-topper and PLATINUM-selling artist Brett Young and multiple JUNO and CCMA Award-winning entertainer Dallas Smith as the final headliners of Atlantic Canada’s largest multi-day festival running July 10-12, 2020.  Young and Smith will each hit the Bell Main Stage on Saturday, July 11thjoining previously announced headliners Miranda Lambert and Dan + Shay. After nearly a decade of under-the-radar work, Young made his PLATINUM-certified entrance in 2016 with the restless romance of his #1 hit, “Sleep Without You,” then proceeded to own the top of the charts with three more singles from his self-titled PLATINUM-album debut. The tender “In Case You Didn’t Know” spent two weeks at #1, selling over 3 million copies and becoming the second-most purchased/streamed country song of 2017, followed by the three-week #1 “Like I Loved You” and the heart-rending “Mercy” – another pair of PLATINUM-certified smashes.

Smith is one of the most celebrated artists in Canadian Country music. In 2019, the Platinum-selling Country star added to one of the most notable music careers in Canada, winning two CCMA Awards for “Entertainer of the Year” and “Male Artist of the Year” in addition to co-hosting the 2019 CCMA Awards national broadcast alongside Billy Ray Cyrus. Always one to dominate uncharted territory, Smith is the first and only Canadian Country artist in the Nielsen BDS era, to have eight #1singles, including four consecutive chart-toppers from the same album and he ended the decade as the most played artist (domestic/international) at Canadian Country radio in 2019.
