Day two of CBMF consisted of a heap of great music with a side of wind and pouring rain. Fans decked in rain ponchos braved the wet weather to take in artists on the main stage, while others took shelter under the tents of the Kitchen and Emerging Artists stages.

Sporting a “Canadian tuxedo”, Tenille Arts took the main stage and opened her set with “Back Then Right Now”, a song about reminiscing on the good times and wanting to feel that way again. Arts made good use of the stage and catwalk, taking selfies and interacting with fans every chance she got. After playing a list of songs from her album Girl to Girl, which was released last fall, she debuted a new song called “Jealous of Myself”. Arts shared the story of how she discovered the song via TikTok from a songwriter that recently came across her For You Page. The song has no release date as of yet, but by the reaction from the fans, the song will be a hit upon its arrival.

Hot off the release of a new single, Tyler Rich performed to a packed tent on the Colliding Tides Kitchen Stage. In a live stream on his Instagram the evening prior to the show, Rich announced his latest release, “Thinkin’ We’re In Love”, a duet featuring Quebec pop artist, Marie-Mai. Rich fed off the energy of the audience and vice-versa. Among the songs played was his platinum selling song, “The Difference”. Fans begged for an encore leading Rich to return to the stage for one last song. He called upon his wife, Sabina, who was standing side stage, to join him for a performance of his unreleased song, “I Know You Do”.

The rain may have brought a large number of people into the Colliding Tides tent Friday evening, but Sacha was the reason they ended up staying. The small town Ontario artist whose new single “We Did” recently hit Canadian country radio, charmed the audience with her smooth vocals and high energy. Her set not only showcased her own music, but included a medley of Taylor Swift songs that had the audience dancing and singing along. As the crowd repeatedly chanted her name, Sacha expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome as she appeared to be holding back tears. It’s safe to say that Sacha’s first trip Cavendish was an absolute success.

Other performances of the day included Tebey, The Washboard Union, Maddie & Tae, and Darius Rucker.
