Saturday night, the third night of Lansdowne’s CityFolk Festival, brought a wide variety of acts sure to please lovers of all variations of folk music. Musicians and concert-goers young and old showed up to the festival, sharing an experience clearly capable of transcending generations.
X Ambassadors closed out Sundaze Festival with a Boom
This weekend we checked out the first ever Sundaze Music and Arts festival in beautiful Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Primarily know for the Cavendish Beach Music Festival, this is the first festival to be held on the island in recent memory that has not been a country festival. There were over 10 acts to take the stage over two days, including T-Pain, Cheat Codes and X Ambassadors. The entire weekend was full of music, art, sunshine and good vibes. Bruce Cockburn and Blue Rodeo headline a sold out day 3 of the Edmonton Folk Festival
The weekend brings the first of 2 full days of music at Edmonton’s Folk Festival. With the gates opening this morning at 9am to allow for the Black Friday style dash to the mainstage to secure a spot with tarps, performances are running non-stop across all 8 stages from 11am to midnight!
The weather cooled off for Day 2 of the Edmonton Folk Fest but not the music!
Unlike the day 1 lineup all being on the mainstage, day 2 kicks off with performances on 7 stages, despite only having shows scheduled in the evening, they STILL managed to squeeze in a scheduled 15 shows!

For the past 40 years, music fans have invaded the slopes of Gallagher Park in Edmonton for it’s annual folk festival featuring 95 performances across 8 stages and 4 days.

Saturday, Day 3 at the Ottawa Bluesfest. The humidity had finally broke but the heat was still intense and not just from the sun. The Bluesville stage continued to be host to some outstanding artists. The Texas Horns who have been perennial guest stars of the festival for close to 20 years, were joined by The Split for a set of their own. If you love blues which is heavily driven by a horn section, The Texas Horns are a band you don’t want to miss. Kaz Kazanoff, John Mills and Al Gomez had the room full of excitement and energy that was thoroughly enjoyed by a packed house.
Steven Van Zandt brings soul to Ottawa Bluesfest 2019 Day One
