Did you know that Howie Mandel voiced some of the characters for the Muppet Babies? That he was the voice of Gizmo is the 1984 hit Gremlins? That’s right, we heard his voice years ago and now we see him on screens every week. But what’s he really known in Canada for? Stand-up and that’s exactly what you will get on November 7, 2019 at Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe.

“Judging from attendance at Howie’s last appearance a couple of years ago, our audience certainly enjoys him, so I was delighted to have the opportunity to welcome him back,” says Allan Samson, Artistic Producer and Manager of Centrepointe Theatres @ Meridian.

“This is a completely different show. Last time he was having so much fun with the audience he went off on a hilarious improvised bit. I know people will want to take advantage of this chance to see one of Canada’s best comic talents live.”
The Toronto born comedian is back on our mainstage and we just can’t contain our excitement! He is arguably the most famous germaphobe in the country and has become somewhat of a spokesperson for mental health. He told EverydayHealth.com in a 2017 interview: “It’s helping to remove the stigma from mental health issues. I deal with it every waking moment, each and every day – and a lot of other people do too.”

But, rest assured his comedy will include the usual form of wittiness that takes on living with OCD, DHD and germaphobia. Although Mandel is busy with TV accolades such as being a judge on the hugely popular “America’s Got Talent” and being host and executive producer of NBC’s “Deal or No Deal”, he continues to perform as many as 200 stand-up show each year throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Don’t miss this home-grown treasure!
