Alberta LOVES Tebey and the fans proved it.  On his first headlining tour, the Sherwood Park (Edmonton) stop became his 1st sell out show … but it didn’t stop there as the next night in Red Deer ALSO sold out!  All this at the tail end of an artic freeze that had the province virtually paralyzed with extreme cold weather warnings!

Opening for Tebey at the Western shows was Sons of Daughters.  Their latest single, I Picture You, was released the day they performed in Edmonton.  Comprised of Crystal Leigh and Jimmy Thow, this BC duo are making quite the name for themselves and the demand to have them along as a tour’s support artist is growing.  While Tebey being along newcomer Matt Lang on the Eastern portion of his tour, you all still have an opportunity to catch Sons of Daughters perform live, if you act fast.  They  to get to hang out with Meghan Patrick in Ontario for her 1st headlining tour.  Anyone else headlining for the first time?  Looks like these two are the artists to book!

If you look at their bio, you’ll find an incredibly apt description of their music … “They are committed to carving their own unique sound in the modern country scene through captivating vocal harmonies, swampy guitar riffs and catchy lyrics …” … kudos to whomever put that together because … YES! … and add to the fact that they’re entertaining on stage, “I Picture You” finding your way headlining your own tour soon.

Along with the aforementioned firsts of headlining a tour, sold out show, and back to back sold out shows, Tebey has also recently hit the number one spot in country music not once but three times in the past few years.  As a songwriter he’s seen hit the Billboard Country #1 … UK Country # 1 (which actually debuted there) … not to mention his own single grabbing that coveted spot with “Who’s Gonna Love You”.

Crystal Leigh popped back up on stage with Tebey to perform a duet.  The crowd seemed to be happy enough cheering and singing along in their seats until Tebey called out for some noise and that seemed to be all the permission needed to get everyone on their feet.  Maybe they just needed time to thaw out from the cold outside but once they got going, there was no stopping them … some even attempted to dance in the sloped isles.

He came back out for a two song encore after his set but that didn’t really seem to be enough for the crowd.  They all lingered … first at their seats, hoping for a second encore, then in the lobby.  It wasn’t so much the fear of needing to head back into the cold as much as the buzz from the show that needed to be savored.
