Midway Music Hall in Edmonton is no stranger to loud nights, but when Nothing More rolled through town on the Carnal Nature World Tour, the venue felt less like a club and more like a pressure chamber waiting to erupt.
The tour features a strong lineup with Catch Your Breath, Archers, and Doobie supporting. While the full bill brought plenty of energy to the night, I was only able to arrive in time to catch Catch Your Breath, who delivered a tight and emotionally driven set that quickly pulled the early crowd into the show. Their mix of melodic hooks and heavier moments proved to be the perfect lead-in to the intensity that would follow later in the evening.
By the time Nothing More hit the stage, Midway was packed wall-to-wall.
The band opened with | Carnal |, immediately sliding into House on Sand, a one-two punch that established the tone for the night. The crowd responded instantly as the floor began to churn and hands shot into the air.

Frontman Jonny Hawkins is a relentless presence on stage. He moves with a kind of controlled chaos – climbing risers, leaning into the crowd, and delivering every line with conviction. That energy surged through Angel Song and Let ’Em Burn, both of which landed with thunderous force inside the packed venue.
Following the brief | LEB Outro |, the band pushed forward with If It Doesn’t Hurt and Don’t Stop, sending the floor into full motion as the pit expanded and collapsed with every chorus.

Then came one of the biggest moments of the night.
The slow build of | Go To War Intro | created a tension that hung in the air before exploding into Go To War, instantly turning Midway into a massive singalong. Edmonton shouted every word back to the stage, the kind of moment that reminds you just how powerful live music can be.
Without letting the momentum dip, the band transitioned through | Heart | and into Freefall, balancing massive hooks with emotional depth. It’s that ability to shift between aggression and reflection that makes Nothing More such a compelling live band.

The night briefly shifted gears during the Drums/Guitar/Bass Solo, where each member showcased their technical chops while still keeping the rhythm pounding through the venue.
One of the more unpredictable moments came during the Audience Picks Song segment, where fans were given the choice between NIN, Down the River, and Spirits, adding an extra layer of spontaneity to an already electric set.
As the show moved into its final stretch, the tone shifted.
Jenny landed with emotional weight, its message resonating deeply with the crowd as the room collectively leaned into the moment.

The intensity returned quickly with Stuck, before the band launched into Fade In Fade Out, a track whose massive chorus had nearly everyone in the room singing along.
The final push came with | Ocean Floor | leading into Ballast, bringing the night to a thunderous close before the | Outro | sent the crowd spilling out into the Edmonton night.

Nothing More have built a reputation as one of the most intense live bands in modern rock, and their Edmonton stop proved exactly why.
For one night at Midway Music Hall, the Carnal Nature Tour didn’t just stop in Edmonton.
It boiled over.
