Metal legends Mudvayne stormed The Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on Tuesday night on their L.D. 50 25th Anniversary Tour.
Frontman and lead vocalist Chad Gray towered over the crowd on a platform as he sneered and gestured throughout the set, pacing the whole stage. Likewise, Ryan Matinie was constantly in motion, grimacing and posturing as he aggressively assaulted his bass guitar. Their set, as to be expected, leaned heavily on tracks from their debut album from which their tour is named.
(Sadly, Greg Tribbett is not on this tour with Mudvayne due to the passing of his wife Debbie last month. To honor her, a guitar was set up inconspicuously near the back of stage left on a stand with her picture mounted on it.)
Support on this Tour features Static-X, who are celebrating their own 25th anniversary of their album Wisconsin Death Trip, and be forewarned – we were all subjected to a bubble apocalypse being launched from the stage during their wild set!
High intensity metal monsters Vended opened the show and were also very well received by the crowd.
The two month Fall tour runs from September to October 2025 and will hit 30 cities before wrapping up a few days before Halloween.
