One of the most important country music festivals in Quebec today unveiled the program for its 7th edition, which will take place from June 17 to 19 at Saint Agapit. This year, the Festival Country Lotbinière (FCL) is very proud to present 18 artists who will perform on two outdoor stages.

“We are extremely excited and happy to present the 2022 lineup! This past September, Granger Smith closed a special edition of the festival… Who would have thought that eight months later we would meet again at the FCL with an enhanced program presenting two outdoor stages with 18 artists performing! It was important for us to come back in force for 2022 in order to thank our festival-goers who have supported us for the past two years.” mentioned Guillaume Laflamme, co-founder of FCL.

DEAN BRODY
The most important country artist of the last decade in Canada!

A true icon of country music across Canada, Dean Brody currently occupies the second rank of the most listened to Canadian country artist of all time, just behind Shania Twain. The Canadian star holds two national records in ticket sales and is a regular at the biggest festivals across the country. Brody received four nominations at the latest Canadian Country Music Gala Association (CCMA). In his career, it’s 17 CCMA awards, two JUNOs, 30 top 10 songs, hundreds of million worldwide streams and many songs certified GOLD, PLATINUM and DOUBLE PLATINUM. Dean Brody will be performing in Saint-Agapit on June 18.

A long-awaited return to Quebec!

Who better than the multi-award winning quartet at the Juno Awards and CCMA galas, James Barker Band, to close the 7th edition of the festival on June 19th. In 2017, the song “Chills” rose to the topped Billboard’s Canadian Hot 100 chart and achieved PLATINUM status. It was the start of a long series of songs certified GOLD and PLATINUM: six songs reach these prestigious certificates. The band are now headlining some of the biggest music festivals country. Moreover, the Ontario team holds the FCL attendance record following their passage in 2019. This will be the third appearance of the James Barker Band at the festival. Tim & Glory Boys and Shawn Austin will be in charge of warming up the crowd ahead of their long-awaited return.

A first career show in Quebec!

Once a Vancouver Canucks draft pick, now a music star critically acclaimed country with more than a decade touring the country, Chad Brownlee will have the mandate to open the event with his contagious melodies. The British Columbia artist holds twelve top 10 songs in Canada in addition to eleven Juno Award and CCMA gala nominations. He will be preceded by rising Canadian artist, Tyler Joe Miller and Ontario’s David Boyd Janes

ENHANCED PROGRAMMING: SECOND OUTDOOR STAGE

The FCL is very proud to announce the addition of a second outdoor stage reserved for local artists. Festival-goers will be able to sing and dance to performances by Sara Dufour, Phil Lauzon, Laurence St-Martin, Léa Jarry, Francis Degranpré, Laurence Doire, Philip Saucier, Audrey Charbonneau and Megane Lebel.

The organization is taking advantage of its 7th edition to add an agri-food component to the event aimed at promote regional products. Access to the Agrifood Fair will be completely free and from many kiosks will be on site.

“It is extremely important for us to showcase Quebec talent and local products through our programming. We have been working on this project since 2019. The pandemic has slowed down our launched, but did not prevent us from doing it again in a big way for 2022! says Guillaume Laflamme, co-founder of FCL.
