WayHome Music & Arts Festival organizers, Republic Live, have stepped in to offer a free General Admission full weekend ticket to WayHome 2017 to all the people who purchased passes to Pemberton Music Festival, which was suddenly cancelled this week when the organizers filed for bankruptcy.
According to the news outlets, Pemberton Music Festival is not able to honor refunds, unless the tickets were purchased from a third party with a credit card.
WayHome is also honoring free passes for the ticket holders of the FYRE Festival, which infamously went down not so successfully three weeks ago in the Bahamas.
Not the First Time Republic Live Stepped In
This is not the first time that Republic Live has stepped in to assist music fans; ticket holders to the 2012 Capital Hoedown in Ottawa found themselves in a similar position when that festival was cancelled. At that time, Republic Live honored fan’s tickets at its annual Boots and Hearts Festival, Canada’s Largest Country Music Festival, which is now in its 6th year.
“We understand the difficulties that go into the planning and execution of a large-scale festival event. First and foremost, we are music fans, and as such belong to an international community that share in our mutual successes and disappointments. It’s saddening to hear of the struggles Pemberton Music Festival organizers are dealing with, and therefore want to help by honoring all purchased ticket holders with a free pass to WayHome this summer”, says Republic Live Partner, Eva Dunford.
How to redeem: all 2017 Pemberton Music Festival and Fyre Festival ticket holders can redeem their ticket for a 2017 WayHome General Admission Ticket by sending a copy of their unique confirmed ticket to the following address; email@example.com. WayHome will keep this offer open until June 30 and will authenticate all requests. Tickets will be redeemed on a on a one for one basis and do not include camping, parking or VIP offers.
