Multiple hit maker Train made a scheduled stop at the newly named Budweiser Stage on June 21, 2017. A huge crowd filled the outdoor venue and went on an hour and 45-minute journey with conductor Pat Monahan at the helm.

Even if you don’t have any of Train’s albums you would still most certainly have known all the songs played that evening. Everyone has had extensive radio play. There were so many fan favorites that evening, from the funny “50 Ways To Say Goodbye“, the love lost song “Drive By“, the beautiful ballad “Calling All Angels” and of course the ever so popular hit “Marry Me“.

By the third song “If It’s Love” fans were tossing their cell phones up on stage for the popular Pat selfies. I was surprised how few missed catches he had. I’m guessing he has it almost down to a science now.

Of course, I can’t forget the oversized balls tossed from the stage, an added fun factor to their show.

Mixed in with their hits, Train incorporated the cover song from Paul SimonYou Can Call Me Al“. Supporting act O.A.R singer Marc Roberge took the stage to sing along side Pat. Another cover included QueensUnder Pressure“, with recorded live footage from a Queen show playing on the big screen behind the stage.

The first supporting act of the evening was Natasha Bedingfield. She joined the stage taking over the female vocals for the song “Bruises“.

For the encore, surprise special guest Theo Tams, season 6 Canadian Idol winner sand along to “Drops of Jupiter”.

This being the second time seeing Train, I enjoyed this performance just as much as the first time. It’s a couple of hours worth of sing-alongs and smiles as far as the eye can see. People raved about the show afterward on their way out of the venue.  A good time had by all.
