Tickets for 2015-16 Kingston Grand Theatre Season on-sale now!

It’s time to start planning to have a few great nights out in 2015 and 2016. Jose Feliciano, Howie Mandel, a tribute to Genesis and the Big Bad Wolf are just a few of the acts coming to the Grand Theatre this season.  This year, the Grand will again presents a full roster of dance, theatre, comedy, live music, musical tributes, special event s and kids programming for Kingston to enjoy. 

Regular tickets for the new season are now on-sale through the Grand box office. The free annual season G Magazine is mailed to subscribers and is also available at the Grand Theatre, 218 Princess St.  Season and performance details are also available online at kingstongrand.ca.

Pick 4 or More subscribers get up to 10 per cent off regular ticket prices, first pick for the best seats in the house, pre-show reminders, free non-alcoholic drink tickets and a subscriber thank-you gift.

NEW! MY KINGSTON TICKETS FOR LOW INCOME KINGSTONIANS

This year, the Grand Presents introduces My Kingston tickets – reduced-cost tickets to performances for Kingstonians with eligible low incomes.

“We want everyone to be able to enjoy the enriching performances we bring to the Grand,” says Colin Wiginton, the City of Kingston’s cultural director.

My Kingston tickets will be $15 each or just $8 each for Kidstage performances.  Interested?  Apply for your My Kingston card through the municipal fee assistance program. See details at CityofKingston.ca/feeassistance.

Many Grand performances also offer up to 50 per cent off children’s tickets, up to 50 per cent off IMPACT tickets for people under 30 and $5 eyeGO tickets for high school students and IMPACT tickets. See kingstongrand.ca/youth-pricing for a complete list of those performances.

• Live music: Heritage Blues Orchestra; Danny Michel & Jeremy Fisher; José Feliciano with guest Pavlo; The Irish Rovers; Darlene Love; Jesse Cook; DakhaBrakha; Sun vs. Moon featuring Raine Maida and Chantal Kreviazuk; Corb Lund; Downchild; Holly Cole; Johnny Clegg; The Men of the Deeps and Ruthie Foster with Harrison Kennedy.

• Musical tributes: The Rémi Bolduc Jazz Ensemble offers a tribute to Dave Brubeck; Classic Albums Live performs Supertramp’s Breakfast in America and Led Zeppelin II; The Musical Box recreates Genesis’ Selling England by the Pound; and Shine On – the Universe of John Lennon comes in December.

• Theatre: Edge of the Woods Theatre presents Ralph + Lina in November; and Why Not Theatre and Surface/Underground presents Late Company in March.

• Dance: Bboyizm; ProArteDanza; Moscow Classical Ballet presents The Nutcracker; Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet presents Going Home Star – Truth and Reconciliation; and the Hong Kong Ballet comes in March.

• For kids: Page Turner Adventures presents A Mixed Up Fairy Tale; Mermaid Theatre presents Goodnight Moon/Runaway Bunny; Childsplay presents the Cat in the Hat; and Windmill Theatre presents Big Bad Wolf.

• Special events: Cirque Alfonse presents Timber!; Bollywood Masala Orchestra & Dancers of India; and Yamato the Drummers of Japan – “Bakuon” Legend of the Heartbeat in March; and Sing-A-Long-A Grease comes in January.
