As we roll into November most of the leaves on the trees may have fallen, the weather may be getting colder but the action on the football fields across Canada is getting hotter than ever with all roads leading to the Grey Cup in Ottawa on November 26…but first we’ll need to party at the Grey Cup Festival and who better than to kick off the party than JUNO Award winner Jess Moskaluke.

We’re super excited to be partnering with the 2017 Grey Cup Festival this fall and even more excited that the party kicks off three weeks from tonight!!

On November 23 JUNO Award winner and 3-Time CCMA Female Artist of the Year Jess Moskaluke leads a stellar lineup of Canadian music artists as country music will heat up the arena at TD Place.

Saskatchewan born, Moskaluke, who releases her third EP, Past The Past, tomorrow, will kick off what is bound to be one of the biggest and best Grey Cup Festivals Canada has seen in years. Acclaimed as the first Canadian female country artist to have a song in the Top 5 since 2008 (“Drive Me Away” – #3), and the first female Canadian country artist since [her childhood idol] Shania Twain to achieve PLATINUM single status (with her hit track “Cheap Wine and Cigarettes”), Moskaluke continues to dazzle the Canadian country music world achieving not one, but three Top 10 hits with her respective singles, “Kiss Me Quiet”, “Take Me Home” and “Drive Me Away”.  In 2016, Moskaluke had the #1 Most Played Song (“Take Me Home”) at Canadian Country Radio and was the top spun Canadian female artist for the second year in a row. There’s no doubt Jess will “Light Up the Night” at this year’s Grey Cup Festival. For more about Jess Moskaluke visit her online at www.jessmoskaluke.com

Joining Moskaluke will be one of the hottest groups Canadian country music has ever seen. Made up of David Roberts, Aaron Grain (aka Brett Ellis) and Chris Duncombe the Washboard Union have defied classification and have become one of the most exciting and talked about new bands on the Country music scene. The Washboard Union have won 4 BCCMA (British Columbia Country Music Association) Awards, 3 CCMA Awards including Roots Artist (2x) and Rising Star. The Washboard Union is simply a band that must be seen live to truly understand what the hype is all about. We can guarantee they’ll “Shine” bright on stage at TD Place. Want to know more? JJ Shiplett

Kicking off country night is another western Canada native, JJ Shiplett. Shiplett made his Ottawa debut just over a year ago on the TD Place stage where he opened for Canadian crooner Johnny Reid as part of his “What Love Is All About Tour“. Shiplett is one of the most genuine artists in the music business today and when he gets on stage his voice will blow you away. Best compared to country rock superstar Chris Stapleton, Shiplett is equally rugged, raspy and reserved which shines through in his music and performances. First discovered by Johnny Reid after he heard the Alberta-born Shiplett singing on another artist’s track. Reid tracked him down and took him under his wing…the rest, as they say, is history. Don’t expect Shiplett to be cheering for the Ottawa RedBlacks though, we spoke to JJ at Boots and Hearts and he’s cheering for the Calgary Stampeders all the way. Whatever your stripes when it comes to the action on the field JJ Shiplet will most definitely give you “Something to Believe In” while he’s on stage.
