After months of preparation and anticipation the Grey Cup Festival has finally arrived in Ottawa. The Grey Cup itself will make its arrival in the city tomorrow and the main events will kick off starting Thursday. Here’s a rundown of what you can do for FREE over the next few days at the Grey Cup Festival.

Family Fun Zone

For the football fans in your family the Family Fun Zone is not to be missed. Starting Thursday at 4pm and running daily till 10pm. Fun Zone is your go-to Festival experience for obstacle courses, getting your face painted, running into your favourite player, meeting mascots and catching various cheer team members performances throughout the week. Visit the Grey Cup Festival website for full details and a schedule of autograph signings.

The Music

Sure there are three nights of concerts at TD Place but did you know that there will be an endless supply of live music throughout the course of the week at Lansdowne Park? From the team parties, which we’ve already told you about, to the all Canadian Nissan Titan Street Festival.

With a jam packed lineup starting on Thursday at 11am the Nissan Titan Street Festival will feature family entertainment, live music on the Street Festival Stage presented by Bumper to Bumper, giveaways, player appearances, autograph sessions, CFL pin trading, giveaways and more.

The Nissan Titan Street Festival will be the main attraction on the Festival Family Day on Friday, November 24th with performances from High Steppin Daddy, The Daydreamers, Erica Dee, Luv to Groove, School of Rock, Cody Coyote and young sensation Andrew Waines. Friday evening’s street festival events will conclude with a silent disco sure to delight teens and parents alike. If you can’t make it down on Friday fear not the party continues all weekend long right up until game time on Sunday. Naturally we’ve got a playlist for that, check it out on Spotify!

One of the most popular events of any football festival is a cheerleading demonstration and on Saturday morning at 11am in the arena at TD Place fans will be flipping with excitement as some of the top cheer and dance teams from across the league will perform all their choreographed routines from the course of the 2017 season. Wear your team colours proudly and be here for a show that promises energy, back-flips, high-kicks, tumbles, tosses, and a whole lot of fun. This is a free event for all ages.
