After taking 2017 off, Dave Matthews Band returns with a new studio album – set for release this summer – and a North American tour which will include, finally, a spot at RBC Bluesfest in Ottawa on July 11!

In an, unprecedented early, announcement that caught all Bluesfest watchers, us included, by surprise RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest took to their Facebook page this morning to make the announcement. To date DMB is the only known act confirmed by festival organizers with the rest of the lineup not expected for, at least, another month.

The extensive summer tour will kick-off on May 18 at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX and will include two-night stands in West Palm Beach, FL and Denver, CO. A trio of shows on Labor Day weekend at The Gorge in George, WA will take place August 31 – September 2. The tour will wrap up at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA on September 10.

Tickets for RBC Bluesfest will go on sale when the full festival lineup is announced in February. For full festival information be sure to visit www.ottawabluesfest.ca, naturally we’ll have full details the minute they are announced so be sure to keep our page at the top of your bookmarks as well.
