Know anyone who attended one of Chase Rice’s SOLD-OUT shows in Ontario? Everybody We Know Does…

Saturday, March 18th. The day after St. Paddy’s Day, and Chase Rice still managed to gather all the hungover people in Toronto for an amazing night at The Danforth Music Hall.

The party from St. Paddy’s day at Mavricks Music Hall in Barrie, ON seemed to spill over into the next night in Toronto, as Chase Rice played to a another SOLD-OUT crowd.

Chase Rice brought his A++ game on Saturday night along with Dan Davidson for one wild RIDE that we won’t forget!”

The line that stretched all the way down Danforth Ave. was eager to get inside to continue the party from the night before. The atmosphere was buzzin’ as everyone was excited to let loose and have a good time with the man who introduced us to the care free summer anthem “Cruise” that started a whole new genre of country music.

Chase brought along with him, Alberta native Dan Davidson. The young Canadian, who has the highest-charting independent single by a Canadian country artist with the song “Found” . It was clear that Davidson was the right artist to open the show and get the audience revved up.

Dan Davidson brought the audience out of their post St. Paddy’s day slumber the moment his first song hit the audience. With his charismatic stage presence and an abundance of high energy, this was a night to remember and the audience knew it. After all, we were competing with the night before.

Davidson played a thirty-minute set at The Danforth, but it was nothing short of spectacular. As said before, the energy that radiated from his performance was felt by the entire audience and if you’re going to be the opener on any tour, that’s a huge quality to have in your arsenal. Davidson had the audience dancing and singing along to his country singles, “Unkiss Her”, “Found” and “Barn Burner”. Although the set was short and sweet. It set the tone for the rest of the night and the audience was treated to Davidson later on as a special guest performer on “Cruise” when Chase Rice brought him out.

It didn’t take long for the stage hands and tech crew to switch over everything and get Chase Rice out on stage. With the help of KX 94.7’s introduction, it only amped up the audience that much more. The venue was roaring by the time the lights cut out to signal we were in for one hell of a show. Rice and his band mates came out in a big way and the audience went insane! To be honest the audience was insane the entire time he was up on stage.

The Carolina native has certainly grown as a performer in the past year. We caught up with him at Boots and Hearts 2016 and the only thing that’s changed, is that his performance has gotten bigger and better! He wears the headlining hat well.

To be able to put on a fantastic headlining show though, you need a stellar band to back you up, and at first glance, Chase’s band looked like they were at the wrong show. Seriously, looking at them these guys are something straight out of alt rock band, but there’s the old saying “looks can be deceiving” and that’s very true in this case because they complimented Chase’s performance and added a ton of dynamics to his sound.

Chase controlled the audience’s attention through the entire night. They hung onto every word. Some of the highlights of the night included a mashup of artists that Chase looked up to who he’s toured with including Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church and Tim McGraw. Leading into his version of “Live Like You Were Dying”, Chase explained how that song is his all time favorite and the audience responded by singing the entire chorus back to him.

Another highlight of the night was represented by a literal “sign” in the crowd. A certain request by a lucky young lady whose dreams became reality. Her request was simple, she wanted to take a “Ride” with Chase Rice. Well Saturday night was a night for dreams and wish to come true. Chase did what he does best, fully immersed himself with the fans. He signaled over to one of the crew and before she could catch her breath, she was sitting side by side next to Chase Rice about to go on that ride she’d hoped for. After an intense and steamy version of “Ride” with Chase, the young lady took a few selfies and had her Chase Rice CD signed. Leaving an undeniable impression on her as she left the stage, it also solidified a moment to a night she’ll never forget.

The performance by Chase and his band was well worth the ticket price because they made sure you got your monies worth. He ended the night being quite the humble gentlemen by introducing his band mates and allowing them to truly shine as musicians. Each member was introduced by Chase and told to play anything their hearts desired. Each member took the opportunity to show their talents and get the crowd right good and rowdy. This was yet another highlight of the night because it became more than just a country concert.

The end of the night was no exception to how brilliant and talented these guys were. While Chase took the time to meet and greet the audience in the venue, the band went on to throw down a mash up for the ages. Songs that spanned all different kinds of genres.

Not a single person in that venue left without a huge smile on their face. Chase Rice is a force to be reckoned with on stage. The man puts on one of the best performances in country music and puts his heart and soul into it!
