Although it may be little surprise to many but we can now officially confirm that Blue Rodeo will return to RBC Royal Bank Ottawa Bluesfest this summer.

Blue Rodeo is a safe staple at Bluesfest and generally appear every second year.  The reasons behind their frequent visits to the big stage are simple, they are one of Canada’s most loved bands, they always draw a crowd and they get old.  Blue Rodeo will close out the festival on July 19th along with, previously announced, Weird Al Yankovic.

Although their appearance has yet to be officially confirmed by the Ottawa Bluesfest team the following briefly appeared on the Blue Rodeo website earlier this week.  We managed to grab a screen capture of it before it was removed.

The full 2015 lineup for Ottawa Bluesfest is expected sometime this month, until then share the names of acts you hope to see or would like to see at this summer’s main event in the comments below.

With Blue Rodeo returning we fully expect to see Sam Roberts back in the lineup for 2015 as well, the two Canadian acts seem to be the bi-annual favorites for Monahan and his team so it will be interesting to see if this plays out as we expect it might.
